Empowering New Moms: Good JuJu Birth + Wellness Co. Partners with Shelter From the Rain

At Good JuJu Birth + Wellness Co., our mission is to provide compassionate and culturally rooted support for new mothers in Savannah and beyond. That’s why I was honored to partner with Shelter From the Rain Inc. and Más Paz Counseling to launch the very first New Mom Support Group, created especially for moms with children aged two and under.

As a Savannah doula with years of experience in birthwork and postpartum care, I know how important it is for families to feel supported during those early months. Our session focused on practical, everyday needs that make a big difference for both mothers and babies, including:

  • Hydration and nutrition for new moms: fueling your body for recovery and energy.

  • Postpartum self-care tips: realistic ways to care for yourself while caring for your baby.

  • Baby and mom sleep routines: strategies to encourage rest and balance.

  • Free doula resources in Savannah: accessible support for local families.

The New Mom Support Group offered not only valuable information, but also a sense of connection—reminding mothers that they are not alone on this journey.

Thanks to community generosity, participants also received donated baby books, helping us encourage early childhood literacy in Savannah and nurture bonds between parent and child through reading.

This event was just the beginning. By creating spaces like these, we can empower more families with tools, knowledge, and encouragement. At Good JuJu Birth + Wellness Co., I am dedicated to offering postpartum doula care, birth support, and new mom resources in Savannah that honor the unique needs of each family.

If you are a new mom looking for postpartum support in Savannah, or if you know someone who could benefit from resources like these, stay connected with Good JuJu Birth + Wellness Co. for upcoming workshops, support groups, and doula services. Together, we can make sure every family thrives.
